Mr. Shen Pangeng was born in Suzhou, China. He started learning Erhu (a Chinese two string violin) at the age of eighteen. In 1986, he was
invited to perform and lecture on Chinese music in Australia, and his performance was of great success. In 1989 Mr Shen came to reside in Australia. He released this, his first Erhu solo CD in 1997. As a
well known Erhu soloist, Mr Shen has been invited to give numerous Erhu performances in many Festivals in Australia. |
